Fundraisers
PTA funds directly support our school with field trips, classroom grants, & teacher appreciation. In the past 2 years, Willow Springs PTA donations paid for all field trips, supported the purchase of playground sun shades, bought additional materials for art classes, instruments for music classes, games for PE classes, as well as gave meaningful gifts and support for teachers and staff in the school.
Involvement in PTA can look as big or as small as YOU need for your situation. Our goal is to have a PTA member from every Willow Springs household. This will help us as a community stay connected and help our school grow stronger!
How does PTA Raise Funds?
Our PTA only has one true fundraiser each year. This year, we will be hosting a Jog-a-Thon where 100% of your donation goes to Willow Springs programs.
Our PTA also organizes School Spirit Nights hosted by local restaurants. These restaurants partner with PTA and donate up to 25% of spirit night earnings to our organization.
The Scholastic Book Fair is another great way to support our school. Portions of sales from the book fair are credited back to the school. With these funds, we are able to donate books to classrooms as well as to each Willow Springs household.
What is a Jog-a-Thon?
The Willow Springs Jog-a-Thon is our annual fundraiser and it's a day of fun for the whole family! On the day of the Jog-a-Thon, there is excitement in the whole school! Parents, siblings, and spectators are invited to spend the day outside with us. The school day starts as normal, and once it's time to begin the Jog-a-Thon, students come out to the playground grade-by-grade. They'll take class pictures and participate in a fun run on a track around the field. Students are challenged to run as many laps as their grade (5 laps for 5th graders, 4 laps for 4th graders, etc.) as their teachers and loved ones cheer them on!
How does the
Jog-a-Thon raise money?
Students are invited to find sponsors that will donate to their run. Donations are collected as a lump sum and collected online through our fuss-free fundraising site. To reach our fundraising goal, we are asking a $35 donation per child, but any amount really helps. Please consider a minimum of $10 donation to help cover the cost of the school t-shirts that will provided to every student.
After the students finish their run, they remain outside enjoying concessions, playground time, and soaking their teachers in dunk tanks! Proceeds from dunk tank sales and concessions add to the fundraising goals for the Jog-a-Thon. Cash and card are accepted on the day of the Jog-a-Thon for these purchases.

The school does 2 fundraisers each year
One PTA Led: Jog-a-Thon's "No Fuss PTA Fundraiser" which supports the school programs listed above.
One School Administration Led: In 2022, administration fundraised through "Wasatch Savings Books" to supports other school needs.
Please be a part of both fundraisers if you can. The funds collected by both go to support academic success and overall well-being at Willow Springs Elementary.
