Willow Springs Elementary PTA Sponsored Programs
Willow Springs PTA hosts an annual jog-a-thon. This is the largest fundraiser of the year and provides funds for almost all of the programs sponsored by the PTA. Donations are accepted all year, even after the Jog-A-Thon has passed. Proceeds go to everything listed in our “About” page.
* Must register with Canyons School District (CSD) as a volunteer at least 2 days in advance of the Jog-A-Thon.
2020-21 Year theme is “I Matter Because”. The categories are: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, 2D Visual Arts and 3D Visual Arts. At Willow Springs, Kindergarten – 2nd grade are in the Primary division. 3rd – 5th grade are in the Intermediate division.

WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on Willow Springs students by volunteering to help out at school.

Come have fun as you learn the exciting and challenging game of chess! Students can achieve 6 rank advancements as new skills are mastered. Chess meetings are Friday mornings at 8am in the Cafeteria and typically run from October through the Friday before Spring break. Chess is free to all members. Parents, Grandparents and friends are invited.
4th and 5th graders share their love for books by attending a weekly book meeting at the Willow Springs library right after school each Wednesday. Monthly themes, with corresponding crafts and books to choose from make this a fun, free time for the older kids at Willow Springs.
meet the masters
Meet the Masters teaches art history through a monthly assembly and monthly class art project. Art supplies and kits are provided by the PTA, but class art projects are taught by PTA parent volunteers.
* Must register with Canyons School District as a volunteer at least 2 days in advance of your first Meet the Masters assignment.
To help earn extra cash for the school, the PTA runs Book Fairs at each parent teacher night. Volunteers are needed for book fairs.
